Internet Protection for Children – Parents Beware

Parents, internet protection for children is the single most important step in protecting your children from pedophiles and sexual predators online.  Are your children safe online?  The internet has literally given predators and con artists free access to our children in the most fragile time of their lives.  Even though kids seem to be smarter and more worldly aware than we were as children, they are still very innocent and very unaware of the dangers and pitfalls that await them online.

What websites do your children visit?

We know that all parents should have some sort of porn blocker or content filter on their computers at home, but what about the websites that you don’t think are dangerous.  Do your children use Facebook and other social networking sites to stay in contact with their friends?  If you don’t know about social networking sites, you should educate yourself immediately.  Your kids could be displaying pictures of themselves in an inappropriate manner that could make them a target of predators.  And remember, sexual predators are generally not the stereotypical creepy old man.  For example, they could be an older male friend to your daughter that asks her to post provocative pictures of herself.  That is where finding the appropriate internet protection for children is so important.

Your child’s privacy is important.

Yes, your child’s privacy is very important, but what is more important?  Their safety and your peace of mind are more important.  You need to be able to tell yourself that you have done everything that you possibly can to protect your children online.   The best internet protection for children comes in the form of a keylogger.

What is a keylogger?

A keylogger is a program that you install on your computer at home that records everything that your children are doing online.  Every website they visit, every email they send and every post that they make on Facebook is logged for your inspection.  If you are worried about invading your children’s privacy, remember these important facts.  The computer that your child is using is yours, NOT theirs.  And protecting them from pedophiles and sexual predators is one of your most important jobs as a parent.
