Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Coronation Street‘s Abi Webster faces a new setback over baby Alfie next week.
Abi is currently fighting for the chance to secure full custody of Alfie following the tragic death of the youngster’s father Imran Habeeb.
So far, a court has ruled that Abi can look after Alfie under supervision from a foster carer.
Returning character Wendy Crozier – now Wendy Papadopolous – has been appointed as Alfie’s foster carer.

In next week’s episodes, Wendy continues to keep a close watch on Abi’s parenting skills.
As Abi spends time with Alfie, Wendy makes notes on her laptop. Abi watches with suspicion, wondering what she’s saying about her.
Later, Abi can’t resist opening up Wendy’s laptop to take a peek at the file. Abi is furious to see that Wendy has made a number of critical comments about her.
Clearly feeling hurt, Abi challenges Wendy and says that she really thought she was making progress with Alfie. How will Wendy respond?

Last month, Sally Carman – who plays Abi – dropped a hint that Abi and Alfie’s storyline will ultimately have a happy ending.
Speaking to Digital Spy on the red carpet at the British Soap Awards, Sally explained: “The brilliant thing about the producers is that unless you actually specifically ask [what’s coming up], they don’t tell you.
“I never ask because I can’t hold my own water, so the less I know, the better! Or else I’d just be telling you everything – which might be good for you, not so good for me.
“So I actually don’t know, but I know that it’s gone quite quiet script-wise, so I’m guessing that she’s going to be happy for a bit. Which suits me fine!”
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV and streams on the ITV Hub.
