Educator voice: How digital citizenship helps keep youth safe and productive online

The Nationwide Association for Media Literacy Education (NAMLE) wrapped up its yearly 3-day digital conference Sunday. Diana Graber, who spoke at NAMLE this year, is the founder of Cyberwise, an firm specializing in making ready learners to be “ethical, secure, and effective digital citizens.”

Q: Why is “digital citizenship” so critical?

A: It is elementary. We know how to be a fantastic citizen in the authentic world.
