Leftovers, Storage, & Tips
How do I tell when a mug cake is done cooking?
The best way to tell if your mug cake is done cooking is to touch it with a clean finger.
If there’s batter on your finger, then you need to put it back in the microwave and cook for another 30 seconds. Then once again you will want to touch the top of the microwavable mug or ramekin with a clean finger.
If it feels done, then you’re ready to eat!
How to store leftover mug cake
You can store any leftover cake in an air-tight container in the refrigerator.
You can also cover it with plastic cling wrap or foil.
How to reheat
The best way to warm up your microwavable mug or ramekin is to pour a little bit of water (less than 1/8 teaspoon) into the cup and then microwave in 10-15 second increments.
If you would like, add another 10-15 seconds if the cake is still cool in the center.
