Throughout its current fundraiser, Pharos Parenting in Statesville not only raised income to benefit the center’s baby abuse prevention courses, but several law enforcement officers were also dealt with to lunch.
On Feb. 9, Pharos sponsored a Port-A-Pit barbecue chicken plate sale at their Davie Avenue site. Foods of hen, beans, slaw, roll and a dessert, ended up bought with the proceeds likely to the center, whose mission is, as pointed out on their web site, “to build beneficial parenting competencies via specific education and learning, in-home coaching and supportive intervention programs.”
Tonya Fowler, govt director, shared that the event was “very successful” and that they raised $2,217 to assist with these various plans.
Throughout the fundraiser, people getting meals also had the prospect to acquire an added plate or a lot more, which have been then sent to legislation enforcement officers in the community. Because of these donations, Fowler pointed out that they were ready to present a lot more than 160 foods to the officers, which included four police departments and the Iredell County Sheriff’s Place of work.
